The Whole World In HandA Poem by Cassidy MaskI’ve got the whole world in my hand It’s soft and squidgy Painted blue and green (With a bright white smile) It sits in my palm And I trace the equator Between it’s outstretched arms. It’s got skinny arms and legs Not at all what you’d expect For the whole wide world. It’s got two blank white eyes (And a bright white smile) And it’s wearing shoes and gloves. Not at all what you’d expect. Then again, I do have The whole world in my hand. © 2010 Cassidy Mask |
