Lollipops And Coco Pops

All day I sit

And eat lollipops

Writing revision notes

In rainbow colours

(Because otherwise

I wouldn’t bother)

 

All day I sit

Distracting myself

With music

And trips to the kitchen

Every fifteen minutes

Licking lollipops

Like my life depends on it

 

All day I sit

Making notes

Or on the computer

Click click

Scribble scribble

Wasting the hours

Of daylight

 

All day I sat

Pens in hand

Lolly between lips

Filling my head

With the words of others

 

 

Now I sit

Pens put away

(Perfectly ordered)

Munching spoonfuls

Of delicious

Coco pops

 

 

Tomorrow

I’ll do it all again
