Embodied

Embodied

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

You see what I want you to see

You are what I want you to be

My breath fills your lungs

My voice moves your tongue

You’ll never escape from me

You’re nothing in this world we live

You’ve got nothing worthwhile to give

Progress and show biz

Is all that there is

Nought remains here to relive

So give to me what you don’t need

I never will be one to plead

But this you’ve got

Is exactly what

I must have to succeed

You’ve got the perfect body

(Two arms, two legs, one head)

But if you’ll let me to disembody

I’ll take it instead

And you’ll be free to go

Wherever your wind blows

I’ve got the perfect body

(Two eyes, two ears, one nose)

Finally I am embodied

And the truth? No living knows...
