Chatters, Sisters, SnackersA Poem by Cassidy MaskThe daffodils were yellow, And you, my dear fellow, Lay drawing in the grass, Watching seasons pass. The birds sang in the trees, And we kneeled, on our knees, To get a better look, At the drawings in your book. Our brother came without a word, And looking most absurd, Handed you a plectrum, All the colours of the spectrum. He left to go, and us to ponder, And so we sat to cheerfully squander The sun and day, and a box of crackers We chatters, sisters, snackers. © 2010 Cassidy MaskAuthor's Note
