Frog

Frog

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Long green limbs

And bulbous eyes

You hop, skip, jump,

Leap to your death

Don’t you know

Where you’re heading

Little frog?

Restaurant Franҫais

The words are gold

Emblazoned in large

Curling font

But you little frog

Seem unable to read

Or else you do not

Realise the danger

Sticky finger pads

Grasp the pavement

Catapult you forwards

Leap by leggy leap

Closer and closer

Poor little frog

You don’t know

What you’re getting

Yourself into

Nice. I like the story that you tell in this poem. The imagery is nice.

Restaurant Français, haha. :)

I guess the only thing I would of liked to have seen is what this frog DOES get himself into at the end.

Thanks for sharing the fun read.
