Praying

Praying

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I sleep clutching your book

Praying (it’ll keep me alive)

My dreams scare me

More sinister by the day

Full of shifting colours

And claustrophobia

And I hug the

Rough red cover

As though it holds some

Portion of you

I sleep with

The Bible under my pillow

And pray it

Stops the nightmares

Because I’m sick of

The crippling terror

And I long for a dreamless sleep

this is amazing Claire :O! there's something about it that just makes it seem so... real. (like it comes out of the page... that sounds weird). it flows amazingly, it really does. and it's gentle but you can tell it's serious you know?
"because i'm sick of the crippling terror"
