Unrequited Like

Unrequited Like

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

We smile

At everyone

Laugh

But our eyes never meet.

I talk to your mother

Your father

Your friends

While

You stand next to my sister

Barely glance at me

My eyes flick over you

But they don’t fix

There’s nothing to see.

Four years ago

We got on great

Now there’s

Nothing to say.

Could I call this

Unrequited Like?

(But you’re too

Tall and Blonde

For me anyway)

firstly, i reeeally like the title. it caught my eye because obviously you assume it to be unrequited love so i dunno what it made me think, but it was different. secondly, reeeally good poetry. you can really feel what the person is feeling.

ooft. i love itttt.
