The Jam And The Peanut Butter

The Jam And The Peanut Butter

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Before,

The Jam and the Peanut Butter

Were kept forever

Apart

Their differences

In composition preventing

Their union.

Here,

The heat is such

To warrant a change

Of arrangements.

Now,

The Jam and the Peanut Butter

Sit in the fridge door

Side by side.

Glass against glass,

Jams head

Resting affectionately

Against Peanut Butters

Golden shoulder.

Finally,

All is well with

The world.
