Dribbled Words

Dribbled Words

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

You make me feel

Inadequate

Just like everything else.

I choke on your

Beautiful words

And my own

Dribble out

Bloodied. I spit

Them out and they

Collect in puddles,

A greyish red mess

On my bedroom floor.

It takes me a moment

To realise that,

Besides everything else,

They are meaningless.

And then I laugh.

Because what else is there?
