Watch The Water Run

Watch The Water Run

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I lean my head forwards

So the water in my hair

Runs down, drips off

The tip of my nose.

It falls, drop by single drop,

But my eyes make each

Into two.

They descend rhythmically

Becoming one just before

They reach the ground

Where they splash softly,

Warping the reflection of my face

On the wet tiles.

I stand in the shower,

The tap off,

And watch the water run.
