Suffocate MeA Poem by Cassidy Mask
When it rains
I step outside And I stand on the edge Between wet and dry I imagine you stand Beside me Watching me with Your sardonic little grin I step into the rain, Am soaked in seconds Behind me Your smile fades Into hurt As the water in my eyes Disintegrates your Fragile existence I open my mouth And scream my apologies But they're drowned By the rain Which beats down, Relentless. In the heat I walk quickly Head down, eyes down I don't watch you evaporate. I can't. At night you Sit on my chest, Suffocate me. And I let you Because i don't want To forget. © 2010 Cassidy Mask |
