So Hard We'll Break

So Hard We'll Break

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

If I were there
I'd hug you
So hard we'd break our ribs
Because I don't want you
To ever doubt
How much you mean to me

(And in 50 years we'll still be friends
And we'll phone each other
Every single day.
Twice, because we'll forget
Why we phoned
The first time.)
