HappyA Poem by Cassidy MaskYou asked for happy, And I paused Thoughtful. It wasn’t something I was used to writing…
But I’ll try I said with a determined Little nod, And hunched over My page Pen ready in hand.
And waited…
And waited…
And waited For something " anything Happy.
An hour later I slumped back, Stretching my aching Fingers. Before me Lay a page filled With words And at the top, Underlined, Was written:
Things That Make Me Happy
It’s not a poem, Just a list, and so I’m afraid it Won’t do.
But on it, Right near the top, Is one word:
YOU.
