Palm Tree Eyes

Palm Tree Eyes

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I’m watching you

With my

Palm Tree Eyes.

Blues and greens

Reflected from the sky

You look past me

At the clouds

And I smile

(Sadly)

Because I know.

You’re staring me down

With your

Ocean Irises

And I reach down

To kiss away

Your salt tears.

My lips fall short

And the sand

Dances between us,

Dividing, me

From you.
