Lens Fever

Lens Fever

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I stand

Stare down the lens

Don’t smile

Beep, beep, beep, click

I sigh,

Sickened but

So alive.

I know

This is something I can do

(It’s in my

Hair)

[and the editing]

But

Guess what…

I’m scared.

(I’m just as vain

As I look)

one of your best, definitely. you can feel that there's a deeper meaning in the poem without you having to tell us what it is. love it. love you.

ha ha. I can definitely relate to this one! Are all poets vain? hmmm...
When I read this, I got the theme --not good with english terms >.<
when you look into the mirror and you see yourself as so pretty, so beautiful, yet you're not sure if anyone else can see that. so you're left wondering if the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" means that no else sees the beauty you see in yourself.

By the way, you are really pretty! I especially love your curls, and your eyes! ^_^

Being vain is fun. I like this, blunt and to the point but if you look there are many deeper meanings. Love the photo as well. x
