Substance

Substance

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Sitting on the stairs

That in-between place,

Neither this floor, nor that.

I watch the rays

                Of dusty light

Reaching out with

Shaking fingers

The sun caresses me

But I feel nothing.

The light slides over

                My skin

Through me

As if I had no substance.

I run my fingertips

Over the edge of the

Step

As I lean against the railing.

I am neither here

Nor there.

Ooh this made me shiver, I love it.

I watch the rays
Of dusty light
Reaching out with
Shaking fingers

Amazing imagery!!
