Making Faces

Making Faces

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Making faces in the

Mirror to try and

Find a story that fits.

We’re all holding

On.

                                Hoping

                                This is

                                Real. (A

                                Little bit

                                At least).

But the

Grimaces…

Suggest otherwise.

                Because you only

                Look this trippy in

                                A dream.

And I’ve been hiding

For a while now…

I love the first stanza, trying to find a story, trying to find something to mold to our selves...I also like the way you structured this, making the thoughts seem detached and broken up, and i love the suggestions of distorted reality in 'you only/Look this trippy in/A dream.' Because it doesn't actually say that it IS a dream, just that it should be. Overall love for this..
