Inside

 

Stepped inside the once closed box

Seeking answers to long lost questions

Found soon the answers lay not inside

For once inside knowledge escaped

One size for all, though the size was known not

As he foundered within and seeking leave

Sinking he felt, no breath to be found

Once inside lost all himself

Absorbed now inside, blended was he

Into one mass entity, no more he was

Yet found nothing to fit, his mind still his own

Outward appearing this mass he was

Are all lost in here, and all safe outside?

All lost outside, yet safe inside?

Which was the truth, answers not one

The riddles they spoke

Confused one with truth.

Should exit be found from this narrow dark path?

Or light be shed to illumine this ground?

Which one should he seek?

The answers they gave

Sought not his own life

But one he could give

All to the box, and the box does fit all

Is it thus so, or freewill be found?

Fighting against this such pitiful tale

Voiced he now his humble appeal

To all he gave life, and to life gave us nothing

Deserved we yet answers, you do hide them now so!

Once more cried he to the faces so bland

Break yet your faces to show some cheer?

Emotions so strong, yet hearts now so weak

Rambling onward

Into, inside, forever to lose

Opening this door, he ran with his truth

Sharing to all who his word would give ear

Freely now spoken and outside the box

Truth has no size

For each now must find

How much they need to travel this path

Box it not, let it ring free.
