The SignalA Poem by Cocoacandya poem i wrote while i was depressed last year... tell me what you think...I shudder,
the cold closing in around me, this dark night shrouds me in quiet. But I am not afraid. I'm meeting someone here... They've promised me the best gift yet... As I wait, I look around me. The pillars of the city all around me, they're enveloped in black. I can only make out the outline of a city that stands so tall. There is a blood-red moon, but it gives no light, it only strikes fear in unknowing hearts. But I know, and THEY know, the secret of this night. Then finally, There! In the distance! a single flicker of light, the pre-arranged signal, letting me know that they are there, that they have kept true to their word. And then i'm on the move, chasing the light, I follow it to a place where not a single creature dares to stir... I get there, and hold up my end of the bargain, promising to say nothing to no one before i go. They place in my hand, the precious tainted blade, and we silently call it a night. We head off our seperate ways, neither daring to say a single word, or create the smallest noise, for fear of getting caught. We leave silently, me with my new gift, making the end inevitable, and them, a new partner in crime, an expirienced partner in a suicide. © 2011 CocoacandyReviews
