it sounded like my nameA Poem by thespaceinmybed
like you were calling me home
and I thought just once I could stop trying so hard to breathe but it wasn't you it wasn't anybody simply my mind imagining things again so I went I left that place and all the strangled hopes that lived in it someday maybe my hands will stop their slow wandering you couldn't do it you were too distracted with your own beauty to claim me I'll never know what makes lips say yes and bodies say no I'll never forget how you spit on all the things the little girl inside of me gave you
