a song to the broken

I've been feeling....not so well... I k.ow I'm not the only one....so here's for everyone..

Here's a song to the broken,
The lost and foresaken.

For everyone-good and bad-
Here's a song to the broken,

I can use some company-
I can use a single wish...

A soul in this endless universe,
Without a power, without a sign...


Here's a song to those,
Who find themselves alone,
Who think so little of themselves,
Who have been trapped in rut,

There's one thing I ought to say,
When all is lost and gone is when our life will begin.
It may make no sense,
But trust me dear friend...
When we've lost it all
We need to be brave!

We shall stand side by side!
Let's get ready to fight!
No demon shall pass!

Here's to lost and the broken...
Let my tears mend your wounds...

I think the sentiment in the last stanza is a really pure one. It is nice to see that the speaker of this poem wants to mend those she comes in contact with. That is very selfless and empathetic of her.

Overall, I think the early part of the poem reminded me of A My Chemical Romance Song. I had that tune in mind as I read the opening of the piece. Then that last stanza actually reminded me of an Emily Dickinson poem called "If I can stop one heart from breaking."

It is, I hate it sometimes though-that I don't realize it. It makes me wonder. I mean does it ever happen to you, if i may ask?

Yes, It does. I think it used to happen more in the past then it does now. I used to play Metallica or Korn all the time, and I found that happened.
