Blue fades to gray.A Poem by falling_toxic_rain
my apathetic state interrupted by your glance, your eyes and mine come to lock.
suddenly I feel my stomach collapse, suddenly I feel warmth coming from inside. my cheeks turning red, I'm longing for you. when we talked, nothing seemed blue. for once this emptiness felt wrong, you fit perfectly amongst my heart. who knew it took a broken key to mend a locked heart. seconds, minutes, hours, days, came to pass, you were all I ever thought. everyday at a certain time i would wait by my phone waiting for the simple "hello" but now that's passed, I waited like before... waited by the phone. seconds, minutes, hours, days come to pass, you've forgotten me. and once again my shadow follows me, the depressions claw grasps me. I catch myself thinking, hate myself for feeling. I knew how fast baby blue could fade to gray, the ghost of you quickly fading. memories will remain, now that I'm in my apathetic state. © 2011 falling_toxic_rainAuthor's Note
