Wake up and check my phone
Not to see THE time
But to see if it IS time
Time to no longer be alone
Not physically on my own
Not even hearing your voice on the phone
But two minds that meld together
Two travelers on the same mental path
Verbally hand-holding
Leading one another
Intertwining personalities
No roles
No pressure
Just company
A friendly ear
A common voice
Walking in the same direction
Heading to the same destination?
Only time will tell
For now, the walk...
The walk is perfect
The walk is everything it needs to be and more

I liked some of your lines very much- and the poem as a whole was nice- and it made me recall every time I am with a friend and we walk...we talk but still we're nothing but friends. I liked reading it. Within a few lines, you described an easy walk. Good one.
