Break the Hero

I

Belittle the Champion
and make him suffer the weight
of his glory. So heavy
it has its own gravitational pull,
sink hole,
black hole,
you’re coming down with me.

II

Break the Hero
and turn him into a villain.
Accept the gift of this necessary evil,
now kneel so I can knight you.
Here stands before me
a villain
made from the pieces
stuck together
with wet clay and mud.

III

Banish the King
to the sow, sickle and seed,
where the crowns that grow
are made of thorn and vine.
Sit on this stump
it is your throne,
wield this stick,
it is your scepter,
and over none
you may have dominion

I've always been an advocate for tearing apart our villains to let them become heroes. We can only be truly strong after being pieced back together. We have to let our evils be our ruin to be rid of them.
The idea that this can be the other way round is really resonating with me. I absolutely love this :D

[Coyote Poetry]

The poem seem true to many part of our life. Our hero's are torn apart and we make the people we respect. Become closed door and private. It is sad we live in a world seeking weaknesses and mistakes over the good deeds in a life. I like the thoughts provoking poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
