A Poem by brianna vega

let us live

to observe and report

the metaphors in life

that need record

those instances

which no camera can capture

the mood of a voice

as soft as a whisper

yet as demanding as a tyrant

the soft sway of a mind

changing like the tides

shaping the sand

that moves on with life

washing away footprints so visible

lets us record

so memories can visit us

vague words which let us connect

discover emotions we havent lived yet

those instances
which no camera can capture

When it comes to writing, these words to me say a lot. The imagination must always work hard to be able to say what is not easy to put into words. Observation is also a good point and I've found it one of the most important elements in writing poetry.

vague words which let us connect
discover emotions we havent lived yet

Great lines which emote the core of our experience while reading others work. To capture it all is why we write. There is plenty to think about while reading your words. The moods, the tone, and metaphors are all a part of it all.
