moonbaby meets magician

moonbaby meets magician

A Poem by brianna vega

once there was a lonely girl
who had no friends in the world
she walked the city streets alone
dressed a little like a freak
people would stop and stare
at the feathers and rags she tied in her hair
then one day her hat flew away
and hit a stranger in the face
he picked up his cane tostrike back
but when he saw the girl he stoped in his tracks
he flipped upside down to stand on his hands
and when she approached she had to peer down
im head over heels for you wild jungle thing
please my dear, tell me your name.
she stared in wonder at this queer creature.
so when she opened her mouth she almost stuttered...
but caught herself before she uttered
moon baby.
and yours?
he flipped to his feet
not missing a beat
im the magician.
can i buy you some tea?
