A Poem by brianna vega

staring at the news today
im laughing at everything you had to say
hate to bring you down
but i think i must side with brown
he said he cant promise to lower my tuition but he said he sure as hell wont raise it
thats pretty straightforward to me
while you sat there and talked about changing the amount of state employees and never gave me a real answer
laughing at everything you say
please tell me why your spanish campaigns differ from what you tell me in english
your not going to buy me
and i sure as hell hope you dont buy my california
you want to make more secure fences give better equipment to the men
who hunt down people who are looking for a better life
and set up a guest worker program
well your program wont bring familys
amd all youll have is legal slavery
im laughing at everything you have to say
hate to bring you down but i fear i have to sign with brown
northern cali doesnt want to share water
and we have to watch what weuse
so why do us in so cal have to water all your golf courses here in palm springs?
your lying with every question avoiding every answer
your nose is growing so long i thought my tv turned 3d
your not going to buy me
no your not going to buy me

Whoa, a political vent, and a damn good one! This was loads fun to read for me, I haven't read any good political poetry in a long time.
