Old Girl

Old Girl

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

Most things I do I have you in mind old girl

I try to leave our bad times behind

I feel like my red ship won’t sink

As long as we don’t hold the moments we weren’t us over our heads

Baby please don’t forget my words I thought so hard to say

Nor the time spent to make your cheek bones rise and your eyes smile while you kissed my lips

I never wanted a place so far away from you

I moved closer city next to that girl I thought cared for me

I moved closer so wed have a place of our own

I dreamt of you every night I was too tired to drive to you

I woke up empty every morning away from you

If someone says your name it trips up my tongue

My heart tumbles down to my stomach when the ringer calls

I’d never want a world without you

But it certaintly feels like the wind in the sun and then in the shade
