Rhyme and ReasonA Poem by Count Humilussilence of meSpace between moments Time allowing wounds to scar Space never felt so lonely Time spent thinking about everything else around me at a bar Shades of banana trees Views of The number 5 feels me free The number 8 carries with it all my luck Space in between my chest against your breasts Time spent falling from grace Space divides our best interests Time with an espresso and cognac at a café Love's lessons stack on my shoulders Chips of minds alike mixing in two bags One Jalapeno The other sea salt and vinegar My mind races towards my body like a boulder Sobbing girls is my purgatory's suroundings As I dry the tears with uninterested rags, I give the vapid girls space And a lost love time Never kidding myself for a second that I’m losing my mind © 2009 Count HumilusFeatured Review
