Grace a hard filly to rideA Poem by lee von cleefEmotion perspectiveGrace is so hard to ride, the moment the airy light, sun beams raking their fingers gently through the forests hair, fire fly's or dust float, speckle, When emotion comes, a thousand pounds of fear, wild eyed, sparks on the pavement, Million Dollar Horse,Flight or Fight ? no room for second choices, Be the better , Don't get run over. Blind Emotion can not see. Blind it runs into its mental map of home. Burning the Barn beams smoke, timbers crash. Circling the wagons on she comes screaming fury, Barron broodmare muscle, coke red eyes, throwing tufts of turf, our lives.. Precious parts of heart with every pounding hoof.. Littered bumps atop the pasture, Alone with the piles of vegetable matter. © 2012 lee von cleefAuthor's Note
