Thankfully, in times like these

When so often I'm down on my knees

So far from the path where I should be

When the strings holding it together are so flimsy

Thankfully, there is you

To lift me up speaking the truth

Thankfully, you are here

When my life is filled with fear

Thankfully you tell it best

When I'm ready to give up on all the rest

Including myself just to end the pain

You are there, a cleansing rain

Thankfully I met you

In our friendship, you are the glue

Needed to talk, someone was there, this just came out of me in about 5 minutes. But rip it apart anyway.

Wow, not gunna rip this for sure. Love love love the concept of renewing ourselves through that friend we so badly need. "You are there, a cleansing rain" was my most favorite line. There is a spiritual echo to this poem I found also. Keep up the good work. Refining can come later. If you can do this in five minutes. . . that's scary good!
