A long hard day,

 

sweat and pulled muscles a

 

hard-earned reward

 

the company may keep.

 

 

 

The only worthwhile reason

 

to endure the thankless torture

 

of another long day gone by...

 

 

 

Is coming home to her,

 

eyes bright,

 

lips smiling,

 

body warm,

 

ready to slip over me,

 

and remind me,

 

the value of hard work.
