You try so hard

To protect the ones you love...

But it is they who seem

To cause you the most harm

Grabbing handfuls of feathers

Tearing them from your wings.

Then throwing them back into

Your face

Making you believe you're worthless.

What a disgrace. 

I wish you could see

There's still beauty in..

And your wings.
