A Place IndeedA Poem by Zoefrustrated with youth today
I'm not talking about that kind of love full of fire and lust.
just friendship. simple enough pure. delicate. harder to find than love. once a heart is torn open, the dam of secrets breaks through. so many words. so many words. so many words. so many words. so many words. so many words. so many words. so many words. so many words. can I trust you? Back stabbed over and over, scarred skin a road map on my back. recycling friends like soda bottles. ...so confused. just looking for a playmate wishing for a time machine so it all could be easier. i promise to be loyal and to keep my pinkie-swear and to share my toys and to not cut your hair for real when we play hairdresser but it's not like that anymore. does friendship have an expiration date? age only complicates things. not fair, but I'm always looking. looking for that person who will wear the other half to my he/art necklace.
