A writer without a pen
A duck without a wing
A boat without a captain
A singer who cannot sing.
A reader without a book
A bear without a friend
A light without a shadow
An email that won't send.

A dog without a tail
A sock without a shoe
they aren’t nearly as depressing
as I am without you.

Love it. It has a gentle motion about it that is accessible and delightful.

Great rhythm and I just love how you wrote something so romantic without the usual lovey-dovey & (sometimes) sickeningly cliche lines that are usually in such poems. From the first word, you had me entranced. The sadness of it all only makes this poem so much more wonderful. It is well written, creative, and wonderful. I love it!

This is so cute! I really enjoyed this not only because it's outlandishly cute, but because the grammar and the repetition (anaphora, etc. --you'll learn later about rhetoric) is all wonderful. I really loved this. I don't know if it's meant to be comical, but it reminds me of some stuff i've written. The last line feels like a great punchline. I love the rhythm and the feeling.
