Drowning in Society

Drowning in Society

A Poem by Crimson_Woad

Drowning in Society

Pretending the world is on my shoulders
Falling through the cracks
If I keep sticking to this pathway
It's gonna break my back

Dragging my soles across the pavement
Staring at the cold pillar streetlights
Thinking of the things I have and the things I want
Now it's almost night

Most things crossing are sad lyrics
Burning my past thoughts and grim beliefs
Where will I find the time to relax

What will spread some relief

Stranger times are coming fast
And I just hope my feet can help me
For the body takes my thoughts
As it can no longer see
