Number one.

Number one.

A Poem by CristinaHeather

I've tried
to replace your face.
Exchange your features for someone else's.

Some things though, must stay the same.
Height and body type,
So I can close my eyes and have your arms locked around me.
And your solid skin pressed against my openness.

I try and match the shape of your mouth
But can't make their individual impressions against mine match the way yours felt.
And your eyes too,
no matter how close the shape
or color
None can be the blue with your unique circle of orange,
right around the inside of your iris.

I've tried
Over and Over
to replace your face.
To mimic the way you made me feel.
Out of control
dizzy and delicious
Like I want to scream and rip open my own skin.
And you're there, setting my skin and heart on fire.

Are you on fire too?
Or is it just me?
Burning till I'm nothing.

I've tried
to replace your face,
Since you replaced mine.

Sewn someone else to you
and cut me out.

So where does that leave me?
It leaves me trying
Over
and
Over
to replace your face with someone else's.

Haunting isn't it..?
You have penned your feelings well...easy to understand and a breeze to read.
BTW...you are not alone in these feelings.

Enjoyed it
