Can't Be You, Can I Have You?

Can't Be You, Can I Have You?

A Poem by C_theSurrealist
"

How if you can't reach his level, will you pursue?

"
Archimedes, Descartes, and Gauss
The abstracts of logical holocaust,
Thee like them, the hall of brilliance
His head full of complex alliance,
Neither have time nor happiness
Knowledge, reason of his busyness.

I am your shadow of bright
Once a prodigy as the light
Yet I can't be a master like thee,
Complicated to be your peer,
But I'm trying to reach the limits
Beyond, hoping to find hints
If you'll like back if I become you.

I can't climb to the mountains
I can't fly in the heights
I can't go up to the extent
I can't do what you do
I can't be you
Do you still like me?
I am quite envy,
I am intimidated,
Why I can't?
Why I can't hold you even one touch?
Why I can't stand with you?

I admit I'm only one-fourth of yours,
I am your proxy, your counterpart,
If I can't be you, can I have your all?
I can sway to the wind with the thorns,
I can swim on the waves with the howls
I can step on journey with the blaze,
I can sit beside you with the difficulties
I have hope.
There's no you and me but I have hope.
Wishing you'll realize the totality
That there's chance
To have you even I can't be you.
