Virtual RealityA Story by Broken HeartsA piece inspired by Ray Bradbury's own virtual reality, "The Veldt".
"Blank and two dimensional walls suddenly sprang to life." Out of the darkness towering mountains reached for the sky, in three dimensions, on all sides, in color reproduced to stunning natural beauty. The wildflowers danced to the rhythm of the cool spring breeze.
A spring offers a refreshing drink of cold sweetness. While wildflowers all around sweeten the air with their light fragrance. The smell of Christmas coming from the forest pine trees is so strong. Strong enough that the flavor of the almost sweet tasting tree bark finds its way in your mouth. Sweetness all around, seeming as if quicksand was swallowing you, never to taste bitterness again. The earthy scent is like a government overpowering all the other fragrances, yet the strong flower’s perfume can't be clouded. Although Columbine’s are nowhere in sight you could smell their positive energy spilling out like coffee in a tipped over cup. Rain powerfully hits the ground like when a batter hits a home run, bringing out the distinct smell of tears hitting dry soil. A compelling knock came from the touch-screen front door. All the images disappeared, leaving only normal-looking two dimensional walls. © 2017 Broken HeartsReviews
