A Poem by carl
"

Headlong Into Oblivion -

"

reworked as much of the original I have used elsewhere - thanks for you understanding and patience -carl

Created I share the gene given

to speak with man and heaven

and therefore poetry I write

trying to gain a little insight

that would help me think

there is logic of a real kind

to the memories on a string

of musings begging to unwind.

Like strong vines these lines bind

reason and require a way for

mistakes made - dues to pay

hoping that someday I will find

these plus twenty thousand more

insistent upon knowing a birth

standing at the door with mates

to establish some logical worth.

Sometimes words are in the mind but the tongue and it are not quite in sync! So is easier to scribble on a scrap of paper a nudge or cue to work on when things might be ticking over. Words are not merely for public use but for talking aloud so one's ears hear what's being considered. Perhaps? But then, pen or pencil on paper are like having a 'gang' of as near literary buddies one can have!!! Logical worth!? Certainly and many thanks for the chance to 'say' so.

Gee
I don't think there has to be a reason to pick up the pen as if we are able why not!
For me though it was easier to put my feelings on paper as trying to verbalize them back in the day was difficult(not so now)
Enjoyed your well penned rhyming poem

I like the rhyming here it was a pleasant read. The beginning of this poem is so heartfelt. "I am and therefore I write" how beautiful is that phrase🤗🤗🤗. Very enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing

I think Nike summed it up best, with their "Just do it" phrasing. 😃

Splendid rhyming here, Carl. We write to understand life in general, and our own lives specifically. That's why we must look at the "broken shell pieces" too.
