Hope is not as Hope is:

Hope is not as Hope is:

A Poem by carl
"

Emily Dickinson said it so much better

"

Hope is not a memorial set up in the square

Nor a silver stallion with a sunrise backdrop

Not a complicated song with rhyming lines

No finished story with a fully complete plot.

Hope is the end for an unanswered question

A word here and there needing clear synopsis

An unrealized dream one image upon another

A memory awakened from forgotten time line.

Indeed it is. The last bastion to be scaled, that glimmer that might be a fish, a held breath, a desire too strong to die. Loved the poem my friend it speaks in undying echoes.

I think hope always contains an aura of uncertainty, as opposed to faith, which is "the substance of things hoped for." Hope is the fanner of the flame that keeps faith alive.

Hope is a movie, or a book or a chapter of your life finishing with the words "to be continued" instead of "the end"
