No Evidence

No Evidence

A Poem by carl
"

I read an article today on the evidence against creation and came to the conclusion that it is not about evidence or lack thereof.

"

If you are all knowing

and also all powerful

and you have a desire

to make living human beings-

at a mature age and to arrive

evidencing their growth as years.

And you chose to do this

as an instant creative act-

in minutes or seconds,

or even outside of time.

Then there is no evidence that prevents

you having done the same for an earth,

a complete solar system,

unnumbered galaxies,

or an entire universe.

I have difficulty accepting Biblical writings as anything but myths. But that doesn't negate their value, for myths can tell us the truth about human consciousness.

Carl, this poem really made me pause. I love how you frame creation not as a question of evidence, but as a reflection on possibility and divine power. The idea of instant creation.. beings or worlds appearing fully formed..challenges our human perspective of time and growth, and highlights the limits of what we can truly know. Your poem reads like a quiet meditation on faith, possibility, and the vastness of the universe. Thought-provoking and beautifully expressed.
