The God Who Hides

The God Who Hides

A Poem by carl

Out from the forever deep

the Word was clearly spoken

as light created at the start

caused the night to be broken.

Starlight was set ablaze to sing

eons of years old at their birth

when bones of nature's history

were formed in rocks of earth.

Handicrafts are not the place

to find the creator’s face

for He chose not to be known

by things of the universe.

Though the objects are real

they are but marks upon the face

of the God who hides himself

only to be found by faith.
