I'm Not Doing this Again

In response to my most recent significant break up. I am totally devastated.

 

Famous last word why can't I learn,

but I swear

I'm not doing this again.

When I fall, I fall hard

but I swear,

For sure, I'm not doing this again.

Oppressive loneliness, threatens to suffocate,

but I swear,

This is it, I'm not enduring this again.

Lovely lips, my hearts desire

but I swear,

I'm not going to love again.

My heart breaks, it's torn apart

but I swear,

I'm not repeating this again.

Age is catching me, alone again

but I swear,

I'm not going through this this again.

Oh hello Death, my old friend

and I knew for sure,

I wasn't going to embrace love again.
