To only say goodbye

If you could only be so cold

Enough to freeze the heart

You would fade away

Someday for depart.

Why trust or believe

When you have become this cold

To hurt and despair

The lives around untold.

Goodbye.

The blue of light

And strobes of red

As I fly away

With frost bite now.

I say goodbye

To you and me

While the wind carries me away

To place of unknown wonders.

Goodbye.

I slip away

While I look to the sky

To win or die

By saying goodbye.

it makes me think of a couple breaking up, yet trying to save whats left of their own strength to move on. Emotive phrases like: "frost bite, strobes of red, to hurt and despair, etc." give the poem a little somenthing extra, it places it on another level actually. good job on this piece.
