Between Sheets

Between Sheets

A Poem by Ben Taylor

This attraction without investment is a light, weightless thing.
Fickle and feather-like it trembles of the tips of soft fingers,
shivering in the breeze, threatening
to flit away or flicker into nothing.
I am not here to tether this ephemeral idea,
to vomit ballast onto this invisible entity.
It must remain intangible, un-graspable;
else when it drifts a piece of me may follow.

Perfectly encapsulates the tentative nature of new love ^.^
Or at least, I think so.
Brilliant as always Ben! (:
