DIY S**t Show

DIY S**t Show

A Poem by Ben Taylor

f**k
my finger is bleeding again, this f*****g needle
I haven't done this in so long
sewing is a f*****g nuisance.
but I continue stitching your name
what a gorgeous name
to this piece of felt
that I sewed to my sleeve long ago.
maybe you'll be pleased with the results
probably not, I should have used a thimble
s**t
but my mind was on other things
and so your name is smudged with dark pink.
maybe this will give me some semblance of certainty
(ha ha ha)
jesus at least I can make myself laugh.
as if you hadn't tried to give me back my s****y embroidery
I got you to hold onto it for awhile longer
but it's like framing a f*****g fingerpainting
it lasts until the sentiment fades.
motherfuck does my finger hurt.
motherfuck do I hurt.
