Emoting

Emoting

A Poem by Ben Taylor

A concentrated burst of contentment
A sharp dip in complacency
A rending of the vessel that holds emotion intact
Through the cracks bleeds despair
Euphoria
And then apathy.
Thoughts only obfuscate the process
Muddling reactions
And affects.
The emotions are raw
Untainted
Unavoidable.
My mind is not my own to control
It drifts fancifully through the seas of capricious feeling
Leaving me in the clouds or broken on the earth
When it deems fitting.

Amazing journey in your words. Every line create thoughts and reaction. So many lines I like in this poem. This is my favorite kind of poetry. Allow the reader to fall into the words and think. No weakness in the outstanding poem.
