About taking a leap of faith on something.. someone new... and bracing youself for the journey.

Dreamland

 

With moonlit walls, I lie awake for you;

Heavy eyelids, a distant memory tonight.

Our purpose -- our journey skewed,

Like brush strokes on a blank canvas.

But within our untold story, I’ve found hope.

A little bit of peace, and a smile.

There is no map for this unwinding road,

Just a beautiful mess we’ve made.

I cannot tell you what tomorrow brings,

Except happiness in company and laughter.

We’ll dance like stars within the darkness;

 Brilliantly bright, and mesmerizing in the sky.

And after the tides roar has settled,

We’ll break the morning skies together.

Finding a new beginning --

Chapters with an indescribable climax.

And we’ll fall harmlessly together,

Hopelessly intertwined in a web of beauty.

You’ll be mine, and I’ll ever be yours,

Hand in hand, within our hypnotizing dream.

I really like this poem, there are so many ways to describe a person's love and to describe it within a dream sense in the way you have is brilliant. You make excellent use of imagery and you're very descriptive in your words, i also felt such a connection to natural beauty within the piece which added to the creativeness of it, well done!
