JadedA Poem by Jenny-Jen-JenA poem, meant to be read in a slam-poetry way. The reasons why I feel Jaded.Jaded.
Don't worry, I hear you.
Every roll of your eyes that you don't think I see. Every sigh, as I walk in a room. Your jokes. Everytime you counter my 'I love you' with... Nothing.
Don't worry, I hear you.
What you tell all your friends... How stupid I must be. How I'll never measure up to you. And I can't draw. And I can't write. And it's stupid to waste my time.
Don't worry, I hear you.
Every laugh, when I make a mistake. Every 'nice going' when I don't know how to fix it. And anyone can do community college. And it's nothing. And I'm nothing.
Don't worry, I hear you.
When I can't, sometimes wont, get you what you want. What a b***h I must be. How I only think of myself... And I'm wrong. And you're right. And you'd be better off without me.
Don't worry, I hear you.
How I don't belong in this family. And how much hate... And how you'd rather see me... Every time. Every word. Thought and withheld. But mostly spoken.
Don't worry, I hear you. © 2012 Jenny-Jen-JenAuthor's Note
